The Dolphins have a couple things to work on

The Dolphins need to work a little on their run blocking.  The Dolphins are averaging 92.5 yards rushing per game, but they’re only averaging 3.4 yards per carry.  The passing game has been a little better averaging 227.5 yards passing and they are completing 58.2% of their passes.

The defense has been stout against the run, only allowing 61.0 yards per game and 3.1 yards per carry.  The pass defense has been getting burned to a crisp.  The pass defense is giving up an average of 277.0 yards per game and is allowing the opponent to complete 58.5% of their passes.  Against the Jaguars….they gave up 4 TD passes of OVER 50 yards.

You’re not putting too much stock in Pre-Season football are you? For me, teams that play their 1st team offense agains a 2nd and 3rd team defense (vis versa) can’t be a good barametor of how good or bad they are.

That being said, I too am concerned about the running game. This may in fact be a year of passing to set up the run.

I don’t put too much stock in the pre-season and just report things how I see them. I think the Dolphins are going to have a good season, and I think they’ll be fine running the ball.
