I never thought I would have to write something like this.  When the Dolphins acquired Cleo Lemon from the Chargers last season, it looked like they were just trying to get AJ Feeley out of Miami and didn’t care what they got back.  It also seemed that acquiring Harrington from the Lions showed a lack of faith in Lemon.  But lo and behold a battle is taking place for the #2 QB spot.

Joey Harrington has completed 52.9% of his passes for 180 yards and a TD, his QB rating to date is 78.1.  Harrington will need to play a little better to secure the #2 spot in the rest of the pre-season.

Cleo Lemon has closed the gap on Harrington with his strong pre-season play.  Lemon has completed 63.6% of his passes for 133 yards and a TD.  His QB rating to date is 95.5.  Lemon just has to sustain his performance to put Coach Saban in a decision making mode.
