The Miami Dolphins sign RB Kory Sheets
The Dolphins have signed rookie running back Kory Sheets off the 49ers practice squad. With Patrick Cobbs out of action for the rest of the season it was worth taking a chance on Sheets. He was outstanding in the pre-season for the Niners so he might be able to fill Cobbs’ role on offense this season.
Korey Sheets was a great college player at Purdue, especially in the red-zone with a nose for the endzone. You are right about the preseason too, he looked very explosive and there was no question in my mind that he belonged in the NFL. I didn’t understand why they dropped him after the preseason, but apparently he had a very difficult time learning the playbook? I don’t know if that was the reason, but I’m glad to see him getting another chance and I think he will be more than capable out there.
