The Dolphins made the big plays needed to ruin the Jets season yesterday, and that has to feel good.  Matt Moore didn’t have his best game as he completed 22 of 32 passes for only 135 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 INTs.  Steve Slaton led the way on the ground for the Dolphins in this game with 55 yards rushing on 11 carries (5.0 ypc).  Daniel Thomas pitched in with 28 yards rushing on 12 carries (2.3 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 12 yards (6.0 avg) in this game.  WR Brandon Marshall (5 rec, 50 yards), WR Davone Bess (6 rec, 45 yards) and TE Anthony Fasano (4 rec, 11 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Dolphins.  The Dolphins finished up with 82 yards rushing on 26 carries (3.2 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 32 passes (68.8%) for 128 yards as they had possession of the ball for 31:07.

The defense gave up a lot of yards but they also made their fair share of big plays to help alter the outcome of this game.  LB Kevin Burnett had 14 tackles to lead the way for the Dolphins on D yesterday.  CB Sean Smith (6 tackles), safety Reshad Jones (6 tackles) and LB Marvin Mitchell (5 tackles and 1 pass defensed) also had solid games for the Fins yesterday.  DE Randy Starks had a huge impact in this game as he finished up with 2 tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for a loss, 2 passes defensed, 1 QB hit and 2 interceptions.  The Jets finished up with 129 yards rushing on 27 carries (4.8 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 33 passes (66.7%) for 245 yards.  The Dolphins finish the 2011 season with a 6-10 record.

New England Patriots 27, Miami Dolphins 24

Things were looking good for the Dolphins at halftime as they were winning 17-0, but the Patriots roared back in the second half to beat them.  Matt Moore was solid in this game as he completed 17 of 33 passes for 294 yards with 3 TD passes and 1 INT.  Reggie Bush led the way on the ground for the Dolphins in this game with 113 yards rushing on 22 carries (5.1 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 26 yards.  WR Brandon Marshall led the way in the passing game for the Fins with 7 grabs for 156 yards (22.3 avg) with 1 TD grab.  WR Brian Hartline (4 rec, 72 yards), WR Davone Bess (3 rec, 39 yards, TD) and FB Charles Clay (1 rec, 1 yard, TD grab) also pitched in for the Dolphins in the passing game.  The Dolphins finished up with 115 yards rushing on 27 carries (4.3 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 33 passes (51.5%) for 266 yards as they had possession of the ball for 29:04.

The defense was good in the first half and pretty bad in the second half last Saturday.  LB Karlos Dansby (13 tackles and 1 QB hit) and safety Yeremiah Bell (12 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss,1 sack and 1 QB hit) led the way for the Fins’ D in this game.  LB Kevin Burnett (9 tackles) and safety Tyrone Culver (8 tackles) also had solid games for the Dolphins.  The Patriots finished up with 119 yards rushing on 31 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 27 of 46 passes (58.7%) for 281 yards in this game.  The Dolphins are now 5-10 on the season.

Miami Dolphins 30, Buffalo Bills 23

The Dolphins pushed around the Bills in Buffalo yesterday.  Matt Moore was very efficient in this game as he completed 10 of 20 passes for 217 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Reggie Bush had a monster game for the Dolphins with 203 yards rushing on 25 carries (8.1 ypc) with a 76-yard TD run.  Daniel Thomas pitched in with 11 carries for 42 yards (3.8 ypc) in this game.  WR Brandon Marshall (3 rec, 84 yards, TD), WR Brian Hartline (3 rec, 69 yards) and TE Anthony Fasano (2 rec, 28 yards, TD) led the way for the Fins in the passing game.  The Dolphins finished up with 254 yards rushing on 38 carries (6.7 ypc) and they also completed 10 of 20 passes (50%) for 194 yards in this game as they had possession of the ball for 28:49.

The defense gave up a lot of yards, but most of them came late in the game.  OLB Cameron Wake (7 tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 pass defensed and 4 QB hits), CB Will Allen (7 tackles, 1 pass defensed), safety Reshad Jones (6 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) and CB Vontae Davis (5 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 2 interceptions) led the way for the Fins on D yesterday.  The Bills finished up with 113 yards rushing on 19 carries (5.9 ypc) and they also completed 31 of 47 passes (66%) for 291 yards.  The Dolphins are now 5-9 on the season as Todd Bowles wins his NFL debut as a head coach.

Philadelphia Eagles 26, Miami Dolphins 10

The Dolphins couldn’t get anything going offensively, which forced them to waste an outstanding effort from the D.  Matt Moore completed 11 of 19 passes for 95 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT before leaving the game due to a concussion.  J.P. Losman finished up the game at QB by completing 6 of 10 passes for 60 yards.  Reggie Bush came to play for the Fins as he rushed for 103 yards on 14 carries (7.4 ypc) and he also caught 5 passes for 27 yards (5.4 avg).  Daniel Thomas had a rough time against the Eagles with 7 carries for 4 yards (0.6 ypc) and 2 grabs for 9 yards (4.5 avg).  TE Anthony Fasano (3 rec, 56 yards) and WR Brandon Marshall (4 rec, 27 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game for the Dolphins yesterday.  The Dolphins finished up with 109 yards rushing on 26 carries (4.2 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 29 passes (58.6%) for 95 yards as they had possession of the ball for 28:39.

The defense played excellent for the Fins yesterday.  LB Karlos Dansby (9 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 pass defensed and 1 QB hit) and safety Yeremiah Bell (7 tackles) led the way for the Dolphins on D in this game.  Safety Tyrone Culver (4 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 fumble recovery), CB Sean Smith (interception) and DE Jason Taylor (2 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 2 sacks and 3 QB hits) also made big plays for the Fins yesterday.  The Eagles finished up with 51 yards rushing on 32 carries (1.6 ypc) and they also completed 15 of 30 passes (50%) for 188 yards.  The Dolphins are now 4-9 on the year.

The Dolphins roared out to a 34-0 lead after three quarters before calling off the dogs today.  Matt Moore was really efficient in this game as he completed 13 of 25 passes for 162 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 5 times for 22 yards (4.4 ypc) with 1 TD run today.  Reggie Bush was outstanding today as he rushed for 100 yards on 22 carries (4.5 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Donald Thomas also was solid with 73 yards rushing on 13 carries (5.6 ypc) for the Fins.  TE Anthony Fasano (4 rec, 66 yards), WR Brandon Marshall (4 rec, 60 yards) and WR Davone Bess (4 rec, 27 yards, TD) led the way for the Dolphins in the passing game.  The Dolphins finished up with 209 yards rushing on 44 carries (4.8 ypc) and they also completed 13 of 25 passes (52%) for 153 yards as they had possession of the ball for 38:20.

The defense was outstanding for the Dolphins today.  LB Karlos Dansby led the way for the Fins with 7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 pass defensed.  Safety Yeremiah Bell (5 tackles) and LB Kevin Burnett (4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 pass defensed, 1 QB hit and a interception he returned 34 yards for a TD) also had rock solid games for the Fins today.  The Raiders finished up with 46 yards rushing on 14 carries (3.3 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 41 passes (48.8%) for 258 yards in this game.  The Dolphins are now 4-8 on the season.

Dallas Cowboys 20, Miami Dolphins 19

This was a devastating loss for the Dolphins as they outplayed the Cowboys for 57 minutes yesterday.  The Cowboys put together a 10 play, 54 yard drive to set up a Dan Bailey 28-yard field goal as time expired to beat the Fins.  Matt Moore had another really solid game as he completed 19 of 32 passes for 288 yards with 1 TD pass and o INTs.  Reggie Bush led the way on the ground for the Fins yesterday with 61 yards rushing on 16 carries (3.8 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 35 yards (11.7 avg) in this game.  Donald Thomas pitched in with 25 yards rushing on 6 carries (4.2 ypc) in this game.  WRs Brandon Marshall (5 rec, 103 yards, TD) and Brian Hartline (4 rec, 77 yards) led the way for the Fins in the passing game.  The Dolphins finished up with 89 yards rushing on 25 carries (3.6 ypc) and they also completed 19 of 32 passes (59.4%) for 263 yards as they had possession of the ball for 31:28.

The defense was outstanding until the Cowboys last drive of the game yesterday.  LB Kevin Burnett led the way for the Dolphins yesterday on D with 12 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss.  CB Vontae Davis (5 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 1 interception), OLB Cameron Wake (4 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack and 2 QB hits) and CB Sean Smith (2 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interceptions) also helped out in this game.  The Cowboys finished up with 85 yards rushing on 23 carries (3.7 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 34 passes (64.7%) for 218 yards in this game.  The Dolphins are now 3-8 on the year.

Miami Dolphins 35, Buffalo Bills 8

The Dolphins ran up a 28-6 lead at the half and cruised to a very easy victory in the 3rd and 4th quarters.  Matt Moore was very precise yesterday as he completed 14 of 20 passes for 160 yards with 3 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Daniel Thomas led the way on the ground for the Dolphins with 50 yards on 15 carries (3.3 ypc), but he was also tackled in the end zone for a safety by Bills’ LB Kelvin Sheppard.  Reggie Bush pitched in with 32 yards rushing on 15 carries (2.1 ypc) with 1 TD run and he also caught 4 passes for 34 yards (8.5 avg) in this game.  Rookie FB/TE Charles Clay (4 rec, 69 yards), WR Davone Bess (2 rec, 25 yards) and TE Anthony Fasano (2 rec, 8 yards) each caught 1 TD apiece in this game.  The Dolphins also scored when RB Lex Hilliard recovered a blocked punt in the Bills’ end zone for a TD.  The Dolphins finished up with 95 yards rushing on 35 carries (2.7 ypc) and they completed 14 of 20 passes for 147 yards as they had possession of the ball for 31:06.

The defense was awesome for the Fins yesterday.  CB Will Allen (5 tackles) and safety Reshad Jones (5 tackles and 1 pass defensed) led the way for the Fins’ D in this game.  Safety Yeremiah Bell (4 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 1 interception) and CB Nolan Carroll (4 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) also had solid games for the Dolphins yesterday.  The Bills finished up with 41 yards rushing on 19 carries (2.2 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 44 passes (47.7%) for 206 yards.  The Dolphins are now 3-7 on the year.

The Miami Dolphins had a solid game on both sides of the ball and they now are owners of a two game winning streak in which they have not allowed a TD!  Matt Moore was efficient once again as he completed 20 of 29 passes for 209 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 2 times for 14 yards (7.0 ypc) in this game.  Reggie Bush led the way on the ground in this game for the Dolphins with 47 yards rushing on 14 carries (3.4 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  He also caught 4 passes for 4 yards (1.0 avg) in this game.  Donald Thomas pitched in with 42 yards rushing on 17 carries (2.5 ypc).  WR Brandon Marshall (7 rec, 98 yards), TE Anthony Fasano (3 rec, 60 yards) and WR Davone Bess (4 rec, 37 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Dolphins yesterday.  The Dolphins finished up with 103 yards rushing on 33 carries (3.1 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 29 passes (69%) for 200 yards as they had possession of the ball for 33:33.

The defense was incredible once again for the Dolphins.  LB Karlos Dansby led the way for the Dolphins in this game with 10 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack, 2 passes defensed, 1 QB hit and 1 interception.  LB Kevin Burnett (7 tackles and 1 pass defensed) and CB Vontae Davis (4 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) also pitched in for the Dolphins in this game.  The Redskins finished up with 61 yards rushing on 17 carries (3.6 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 32 passes (65.6%) for 185 yards.  The Dolphins are now 2-7 on the season as they have looked pretty solid the last few weeks.

Miami Dolphins 31, Kansas City Chiefs 3

The Miami Dolphins totally destroyed the Chiefs in very impressive fashion yesterday at Arrowhead Stadium.  Matt Moore was very efficient in this game as he completed 17 of 23 passes for 244 yards with 3 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Reggie Bush was on fire as he carried the ball 13 times for 92 yards (7.1 avg) with 1 TD run and he also caught 3 passes for 50 yards (16.7 avg).  Donald Thomas had to work for every yard he got as he carried the ball 7 times for 12 yards (1.7 ypc).  WR Brandon Marshall (8 rec, 106 yards, TD), FB/TE Charles Clay (3 rec, 50 yards) and TE Anthony Fasano (2 rec, 38 yards, 2 TD grabs) led the way for the Dolphins in the passing game.  The Dolphins finished up with 107 yards rushing on 24 carries (4.5 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 23 passes (73.9%) for 244 yards as they had possession of the ball for 25:21.

The Dolphins had 5 sacks in this game as they played really well on D.  LBs Kevin Burnett (12 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks and 2 QB hits) and Karlos Dansby (11 tackles and 2 tackles for a loss) led the way for the Fins in this game as they were all over the place.  The Chiefs finished up with 116 yards rushing on 34 carries (3.4 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 39 passes (51.3%) for 227 yards in this game.  The Dolphins have broke the seal as they are now 1-7 on the season.

New York Giants 20, Miami Dolphins 17

The Dolphins were up 17-10 heading into the 4th quarter, before the roof caved in.  Matt Moore was efficient in game managing mode as he completed 13 of 22 passes for 138 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 5 times for 31 yards (6.2 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Reggie Bush led the way on the ground for the Dolphins yesterday with 15 carries for 103 yards (6.9 ypc) and he also caught 4 passes for 17 yards (4.3 avg).  Steve Slaton pitched in with 7 yards rushing on 5 carries (1.4 ypc) with 1 TD run in this game.  WRs Brandon Marshall (4 rec, 55 yards) and Davone Bess (3 rec, 43 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Dolphins yesterday.  The Dolphins finished up with 145 yards rushing on 26 carries (5.6 ypc) and they also completed 13 of 22 passes (59.1%) for 101 yards as they had possession of the ball for 27:34.

The defense was outstanding against the run, but no so good against the pass yesterday.  LB Kevin Burnett (10 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss and 1 pass defensed) led the way for the Fins’ D yesterday.  CB Sean Smith (7 tackles and 1 pass defensed), Karlos Dansby (7 tackles, 1 QB hit) and Yeremiah Bell (7 tackles) also pitched in for the Fins in the game on D.  The Giants finished up with 58 yards rushing on 23 carries (2.5 ypc) and they also completed 31 of 45 passes (68.9%) for 344 yards.  The Dolphins are now 0-7 on the season.
